TruffiCulture was founded in 2003, and is the premier Canadian producer of truffle inoculated trees. We grow, import and export truffles and truffle related products.

We enthusiastically promote truffle growing in Canada as a newly emerging industry, and cooperate with our friends at New World Truffieres, the University of British Columbia, and others in promoting the establishment of a commercial truffle industry in Canada. Our mission is to be the centre of excellence for the commercial truffle industry in Canada.

We are dedicated to environmentally friendly horticultural methods and believe that truffles offer a non-polluting, sustainable and potentially lucrative alternative to many other forms of agriculture. In addition, we believe that truffle production can play a role in supporting and sustaining agriculture in areas that are threatened by urbanization and industrialization. Truffieres can be economically viable when established on small lots and do not require expensive equipment or infrastructure to sustain them. They offer a financially viable alternative to commoditized crops, and are uniquely symbiotic with the Canadian wine industry, other boutique crops typical of agritourism and culinary tourism and especially the locally grown food movement.
